Main window
 Drop down box for select protocol of connection. You can choose:
- Telnet protocol
- SSH1 protocol
- SSH2 protocol use user name and password from this form.
- SSH2 keyboard interactive protocol, that use user name but ask password after main connection procedure finish. This mode don't saves password but you can try input password any times without restart connection. It is usefully for servers with digital secure ID.
- SSH2 private key file SSH2 authentication by private key file. You can to use key-file in SSH.COM or OpenSSH formats. Supported RSA and DSA key files. Input file name on Options tab window.
- COM port Connect to server by serial port. As phisical as BlueTooth emulation.
Ping button Open window of ping utility
Server text box URL or IP of your server
Port Number of IP-port. Only digital value from 1 to 65535. Default values is 22 for SSH1/SSH2 and 23 for Telnet.
User name Login name. Is hidden when Telnet protocol selected.
Password Password. It is hidden when Telnet or SSH2 keyboard interactive selected. When you choose SSH2 private key file, use this field for input key-file password.
Code page Code page encryption of your server. Possible values:
- us-ascii
- utf-8
- utf-7
- unicode
- win-1250
- win-1251
- win-1252
- KOI8-R
- KOI8-U
Network You can select network for connect to server. Automatic uses device predefined network map. But you can select Internet, Work, MyISAM and others network type in exclusive or shared mode, if automatic mapping works not correct.
Start session #1 button Start new session #1. Program can open 2 different sessions in one time. Use Menu for start session #2. Drop old session #1 if it is active. Save parameters of current session in memory. These parameters will uses as defaults when zaTelnet start again. If you connect to your server first time, or server keys was changed, you'll see Fingerprint window. Program can open 2 different sessions in one time. Use Menu for start session #2.
Continue session #1 button Continue current session #1 if it is active.
Disconnect session #1 button Drop down current session #1 if it is active.
Main menu
 Start #1 Start session #1. Disconnect old session #1 if it is active. Start #2 Start session #2. Disconnect old session #2 if it is active. Continue #1 Continue session #1 if it is active. Continue #2 Continue session #2 if it is active. Close #1 Close and disconnect session #1 Close #2 Close and disconnect session #2
Main window in serial mode
 Server Serial port is selected. COM port # text box Number of COM port. You can select as phisical serial port as BlueTooth emulation.
Baud Baud rate. From 120 to 512000 bits per second
Parity Parity control. Even, Odd, none, etc.
Bits Bits in one serial pocket. From 5 to 8.
Stop Stop bits. Possible values: 1, 1.5, 2.
Option tab
 Screen font size You can to set terminal font size from 4 to 12pt. Keyboard font size Used for change virtual keyboard font size. Keyboard size depends from this parameter.
Show virtual keyboard check box Will be virtual keyboard visible when session run by default. You can show and hide virtual keyboard by context menu of terminal window.
Local echo check box When is checked, symbols add to terminal window before send to server. May be useful when you connect to pop3, smtp and others server, that not supports echo.
Return send You can to elect what zaTelnet send to server when Return hardware key is pressed. Possible values:
- CR - Carriage return
- CR / LF - Carriage return and Line feed
- LF - Line feed
Select key file... button Open file explorer window for select private key file.
Private key file Path and file name of your private key
$Term string Terminal string sent to server as terminal type identification. Some servers works incorrectly with vt100. You can change terminal type to vt102 or vt100-color, for example.
Session save... button Save parameters of current session in storage memory (type of protocol, URL, login, password, code page, screen font size, keyboard font size, virtual screen size etc). See Save Session window.
Session load... button Restore parameters of selected session from storage memory. See Load Session window.
Screen tab
 Screen font size Size of screen font. From 4 to 12pt. Keyboard font size Size of virtual keyboard font. From 4 to 12pt. Show virtual keyboard check box Virtual keyboard is visible, if this box is checked. Screen size Virtual screen size. You can select
- Auto - program calculate virtual screen size by fontsize, physical screen size and orientation. Virtual screen size equal physical screen. Both scroll bars are not visible.
- 80x25 - Virtual screen size is 80x25 symbols. If virtual screen is greater than physical screen, scroll bars is visible.
- 80x132 - Same as previous, but Virtual screen size is 80 x 132.
- Custom - User can to set Virtual screen size manually by With and Height text boxes.
Proxy tab
 Use http proxy check box Check it if you wish to use http-proxy server for SSH connection Http text box Input URL or IP of http-proxy server Port text box Port number of http-proxy server Header Additional header for proxy-server Use Web basic authentication check box Set it if your server demands web basic authentication User name text box User name for web authentication Password text box Password for web authentication
Ping
 Server URL or IP text box Your server URL or IP for ping.
Information about ping process IP address, time of ping, maximum, minimum, average time. Quantity of sent, received and lost pockets.
Start menu Start ping.
Stop menu Stop ping.
Exit menu Exit from ping utility and return to main form.
Save session
 Input session name Name under witch session parameters will be saved in memory.
OK button Save session parameters and return to main form.
Cancel Return to Main form.
Load session
 List of sessions List of previously saved sessions.
OK menu Load parameters of selected session parameters and return to Main window.
Edit menu Change name of selected session.
Delete menu Erase selected session from memory.
Cancel menu Return to Main form.
Fingerprint
 Fingerprint Information about your server secure keys. Show when you first time connect to server or when server changed secret keys.
Accept menu Save information of server key in memory and continue session. Next time, if server key same, this window will not show.
AcceptOnce menu Continue session, but don't store key information to memory. Next time connection to server you will see this window again.
Stop! menu Don't store key and stop session. Return to Main window.
Terminal
 Context menu For show this menu you must do Tap and Hold or press Hardware button3 on Windows 2003 device or Application button1 on Windows 2005.
Arrow keys in scroll mode menu When checked and Virtual screen greater than physical screen of device, arrow keys (Left, Right, Up, Down) scroll terminal window. When unchecked, arrow keys work as server application buttons.
Slow scroll menu When Arrow keys is checked, default scroll value of scroll is 1/3 of screen by one click. If you wish scroll to one line per click, check this menu.
Hide / Show keyboard menu Show or hide virtual keyboard. Good choice if you use external keyboard.
Show standard keyboard menu Show Standard Input Panel. Useful for input national symbols.
History... Open History log window. You can see log of communication process, copy strings to ten clipboard slots and after send ones to server by Past menu.
Line input... Open Line input window. Line input window is used for send commands to server in one network pocket. Contains history and template list boxes for fast select last or preferred commands
Past Show terminal past menu
To main form Return to main window. Session stay active. You can to change some parameters, like fontsize, screen size and some others and press Continue button on Main form for return to current session. Or press Disconnect button for drop session down.
Screen 1 Open screen of session #1 if it is active.
Screen 2 Open screen of session #2 if it is active.
Scroll bars
 Scroll bars When you select not Automatic screen size on Screen tab, you may to see small white lines on right and bellow sides of terminal. Its are scroll indicators. Your can to scroll screen by two methods: Check Arrow key in scroll mode menu and use arrow keys for move terminal image. Use tap zones 20 pixels wide around of scroll indicators.
Virtual keyboard
 Virtual keyboard is special element for comfortable use zaTelnet. You can to move it around screen use right-down black corner by stylus. Some special key: ▲ - page up for Midnight Commander ▼ - page down for Midnight Commander ◊ - change virtual keyboard style: opaque or transparent ↕ - minimize virtual keyboard. In minimize mode virtual keyboard is small and show only navigation buttons. ⌂ - return to Main window. Session stay alive. If you need input F-function, use ESC+digital button. For example for input F5 press ESC and 5 buttons.
History log
 Copy Select text by stylus and open this menu for save selected text in one of ten menu item. If selected text is empty, menu item will contains (empty) text. You can use this strings for send to server in terminal window by Past menu.
Clear all Clear text in history log.
Terminal past menu
 Past Use this menu for send to server strings, previously copied in History log window.
Select key file
 Use navigation buttons for select file that you need. Press Enter hard button for open folders.
Line input window

Text box with current command Use it for input command that will be send to server in one network pocket
History list box Conatins stack of last commands, sended to server from this window.
Template list box You can add preferred commands in this list box, and use its later.
Send menu Send command from current command text box to server, and save it in History list box.
Send w/o history menu Send command from current command text box to server but do not save it in History list box. Useful for password and others security commands.
Cancel menu Close this window. Send nothing.
Add to template menu Add current command from text box to template list box
Remove from template menu Delete selected template item from template list box
Remove from history menu Delete selected history item from history list box
